Compeq reports record revenues

October 15, 2016

Compeq Manufacturing, a Taiwan-based maker of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for use in handsets, has reported record monthly income for September with revenues for the month of NT$ 2.7 billion (US$83.4 million).

This represents a 21.7% increase on month compared to NT$2.2 billion revenues in August, and a 37.6.% increase on year.

The result means total revenues for the third quarter were NT$6.8 billion, an increase of 30% compared to the second quarter.

Revenues were boosted by high demand for PCBs from both traditional handset makers and smartphone makers.

The number of PCBs shipped by Compeq in the third quarter was almost 50 million units.

Fourth quarter shipments are expected to remain at a similar level, with total 2016 shipments projected to hit 180-190 million units.
